When we went hunting for the perfect villa, we had a check-list as long as our arm. Right at the very top was location, not necessarily how close it was to the best bars, shops and beach (although it hits all those boxes too) but the environment around it - we wanted lots of trees and big open areas of grass to help bring a sense of calm and relaxation so you could thrive.
We wanted little areas for our students to be able to sit and study while listening to the birds, not the hum of an air-conditoner.

You might be wondering why on earth a school teaching photography & web development is doing daily yoga & meditation and the reason is that it's proven to have strong mental and physical benefits, paving the way to the best possible learning experience & at the end of the day, that’s what we are all about.
Although it's optional, we highly recommend everyone has a go! Our amazing instructor has come up with a super fun and easy program, so why not make the most of it!
Part of each yoga session includes mindful meditation to help calm the mind and prepare it for a full day of learning.
We believe that nourishing food helps you learn, and our in-house chef team are on hand all day to whip up delicious meals.
Think smoothie bowls, smashed avocado or a big stack of crunchy corn fritters and poached eggs for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, we go family-style whipping up a spread of healthy options (and some naughty treats of course), with every meal being different. Ranging from traditional Indonesian to mouth-watering tex-mex, to an Italian feast. We guarantee you’ll never go hungry or be bored of the food at IOC.
We also know that not everyone can eat everything, so we make sure that there are always vegetarian / vegan / low carb / low-fat options on hand - catering to most specific dietary requirements (including allergies and gluten-free).
4:1 mentor ratio - let that sink in for a moment.
You will only have to share an expert mentor with 3 other students - that’s one of the best ratios in the business (not that we are counting). That means that when you have a question, you won’t have to sit there with your arm in the air hoping you will get your question answered.
And when it comes to our mentors, they aren’t just another PhD student with zero real-world experience, your mentor is actively working in the industry with years of knowledge that has been where you are and can help guide you every step of the way.
We LOVE this island and think it's far too stunning not to share. So over the course of the 10-days, we will be out exploring and shooting some of the most varied and breathtaking scenery Bali has to offer - the perfect mix of learning and exploration.
We will be hunting down epic waterfalls, standing on what feels like the plains of Africa and exploring prehistoric lava fields. We are pretty confident you'll spend a good chunk of the time in awe.

From the night before the course starts to graduation day, our beautiful pool villa in Canggu, Bali will be your home away from home.
The rooms are big and spacious - offering twin or triple share with someone of the same gender and all with their own private bathroom.
We personally checked all the beds & pillows to make sure they are the best there is to give you the best night’s sleep.
This villa is our campus, so each morning your ‘commute’ is just to wander down from your room to the classroom.

Lifestyle photography is all about capturing the feeling and emotion of either a subject or space. Whether that’s couple photography or shooting a clothing brand in a more relaxed atmosphere that is more about the experience than the clothing itself.

Strap in, because we are going to be diving into the world of studio photography - that’s right, in a studio, with lights, a model, the whole nine yards! If you are anything like me when I was first starting out, the idea of trying to figure out where to even start was stressful enough, let along doing it for a real world client.
So we’ll be spending a full half day in a private studio breaking down some of those scary barriers so you can add this valuable skill to your list!
This is where it all started for our lead mentor Emilio, professionally speaking, with his first real paycheck coming from a food & venue gig. And not only did it pay well but it was the perfect way to dive into client work and build a portfolio. With social media driving the content train harder than ever, even the smallest businesses need to jump on board or miss out, so it's a great way for you to start small and scale quickly. We will be taking you to one of our local favorites to practice. Shooting both the venue and some of their incredible food so you can hit the ground running when you get home!
Boy are we excited for this and even if you have never thought about becoming a fashion photographer, we guarantee that after a few hours shooting you will be hooked.
Its fast-paced, creative as hell and never boring. We will be employing some of our favourite models that are easygoing to help you build your confidence. Our in-house stylist will be there to bring some exciting sets to life and to top it off, we will be having professional hair and make-up on set to bring it all together.
