Ok we're going to get a bit nerdy here. This site is built in custom HTML + CSS + Javascript using the static site generator Jekyll & content management system CloudCannon. We could talk for hours about why we think this particular tech stack, but the short answer is that it provides the best value + performace + experience for you. Jekyll sites load on average 3 - 7 times faster than wordpress, they are virtually impossible to hack, and development time is dramatically faster.
